The first unit to deep strike onto the table was my Beast of Nurgle. It didn't do anything except for draw fire from the one Tactical Squad and the Predator. Still, the loss of the horrible shambling creature was worth it, as my more important units were not getting shot at by them.
On the other side of the table, the next unit to teleport in was my Bloodletters, led by Koschei on his Juggernaut. They couldn't do anything that turn except provide a very tempting target for Justin's Assault Marines and Chaplain. At least Koschei's initiative would have him lopping off heads before the Marines would get to swing their chainswords.
My Tzeentch Horrors arrived near both my Bloodletters and an unclaimed objective. They were also in range of the second Tactical Squad and rained down a nasty barrage of Warpfire that crippled the unit. The Marines failed a leadership test and exited the table while trying to fall back & regroup.
Chaplain Tristan and his Assault Marines rushed the Bloodletters, inflicting a ton of casualties with bolt pistols and Hammer of Wrath impact hits before the close combat even started. Koschei was able to kill off four Marines before he was knocked senseless from Tristan's Crozius (which now has Power Maul rules). Still, the Bloodletters hung in there.
The Tzeentch Horrors scuttled towards an objective while keeping a wary glance at the unstoppable Chaplain and his handful of surviving Assault Marines.
The Flamers successfully teleported onto the battle field near the Tactical Squad on the far end of the table. The amount of inches the unit scattered actually put them in perfect range so that each one was able to use Breath of Chaos. Breath of Chaos is a template attack that wounds on a 4+ and negates armor & cover saves.
In that single shooting phase, the Flamers killed 9 out of 10 Marines...
